One last reminder about our club pig sale coming up this Saturday, January 18.

• The sale will be held at the farm.
• Registration will begin at 9 am.
• The barns will open at 9:30 am to view the pigs.
• Lunch will be served at 11 am.
• The sale will start promptly at 12 noon.
• The sale will run in a silent auction/bid board format similar to those that we have conducted in the past.

If you would like to view the pigs prior to sale day, feel free to contact me to make an appointment.  Use the link below to view pictures of a sampling of the pigs that will be offered.

If you cannot attend the sale but are interested in bidding on or purchasing pigs, I can make arrangements with you to do absentee bidding.

There will be feed available for sale. It is the same ration that the pigs are currently on. If you know in advance that you need feed, please contact me so that we can have it pre-bagged for you. The price of the feed is $35.00/100lbs.

Unless prior arrangements are made, all pigs purchased in the sale must leave the farm upon settlement.

We are more excited than ever about this offering of pigs! We are confident that the quality of these pigs will help you be successful in the show ring this spring!

As sale day draws near we just wanted to send out a reminder about our 2nd Annual Winter Pig Sale on January 18, 2014.

• The barn will open at 9:30 am on sale day for viewing of the pigs.
• Lunch will be served at 11 am.
• The sale will start at 12 noon.
• The pigs will also be available for viewing one week prior to the sale by appointment.
• Pigs will be sold using a silent auction/bid board format (just as our previous sales have used).

Additionally, we will be posting pictures of a sampling of the pigs available for sale soon on the website.

We are extremely excited about the set of pigs we are offering for sale.  This group of pigs is easily the best we have ever offered for sale!!!

Land of Promise Farms is excited to announce that they will be having the 1st Annual Summer Club Pig Sale to market their late March and April show pigs. These pigs will be suitable for both the North Carolina State Fair and Virginia State Fair, as well as any other shows being held in October.

The sale will be held on June 29, 2013 at 1:00 PM at Land of Promise Farms. Viewing of the pigs will start at 10:00 AM, lunch will be served at 11:30 AM, and the sale will begin at 1:00 PM. Additionally, the pigs will be available for viewing 1 week prior to the sale by appointment. The sale format will be conducted using a Silent Auction/Bid Board format, similar to the format of the sale we had back in January.

We are excited about the set of pigs that we have to offer, as we feel it is one of the better sets of pigs that we have ever offered to our customers to compete at the NC and VA State Fairs. We look forward to working with you and hope to help provide you with high quality pigs that will be successful in the showring!!

The 2nd Annual Land of Promise Farms Club Pig Sale will be held on Saturday January 18, 2014.  Pigs available in this sale will be suitable for April and early May shows.

We would like to wish all of our customers who purchased pigs from us for spring shows luck in the show ring in the upcoming weeks. The spring show season kicks off this week in Wilson, NC, followed next week by the Coastal Plains Livestock Show. Please keep us posted on how your pigs perform in the show ring. Good luck!!!!

We just wanted to remind everyone one last time that the East Coast Extravaganza Jackpot pig, lamb, and goat show is coming up next Saturday, March 16th. Things have been a little busy here at Land of Promise Farms as we prepare for our Show Pig Sale tomorrow. We have had a steady stream of visitors over the last two weeks to inspect the pigs slated for sale with very positive feedback about the offering. This will be the only opportunity to purchase our pigs to finish for April shows.

The weather is forecasted for partly cloudy and 68 degrees … pretty nice for January! So plan to join us if you can. Here are the original details on the day’s schedule and you can use this map to get directions or give us a call at 757-439-0291.

We would like to announce that we are partnering up with Brain Stallings to sponsor a Pig/Goat/Lamb Jackpot Show in Elizabeth City, NC. It will be held on March 15 and 16, 2013. More details will be available soon on our website and on the NC State Extension 4-H website. This will provide our customers with another opportunity to show their pigs this spring!!

Don’t forget that our sale is fast approaching on Saturday January 12, 2013. Pigs will be available for viewing starting Saturday January 5, 2013 thru Friday, January 11, 2013. Please call or email to make an appointment.

Additionally, by the end of this week we will post guidelines for the sale on our website. Please take a look at them and contact us with questions.

January and February born pigs are currently doing very well.  Overall, this appears to be one of the deepest sets of pigs that we have ever had to sell for July, August, and September shows.  Pigs will be ready for sale in early to mid April.  Please email or call us to inquire. Additionally, pigs for the Virginia and North Carolina State Fairs will start coming very soon.

Finally, we will be providing a list of SPRING shows where our pigs will be shown.  These shows begin in late March and continue into late May. Check back soon for this list.
