As sale day draws near we just wanted to send out a reminder about our 2nd Annual Winter Pig Sale on January 18, 2014.

• The barn will open at 9:30 am on sale day for viewing of the pigs.
• Lunch will be served at 11 am.
• The sale will start at 12 noon.
• The pigs will also be available for viewing one week prior to the sale by appointment.
• Pigs will be sold using a silent auction/bid board format (just as our previous sales have used).
• Directions to our farm can be found here.

Additionally, we will be posting pictures of a sampling of the pigs available for sale soon on the website.

We are extremely excited about the set of pigs we are offering for sale.  This group of pigs is easily the best we have ever offered for sale!!!

The 2nd Annual Land of Promise Farms Club Pig Sale will be held on Saturday January 18, 2014.  Pigs available in this sale will be suitable for April and early May shows.

Land of Promise Farms is excited to announce that they will be having the 1st Annual Summer Club Pig Sale to market their late March and April show pigs. These pigs will be suitable for both the North Carolina State Fair and Virginia State Fair, as well as any other shows being held in October.

The sale will be held on June 29, 2013 at 1:00 PM at Land of Promise Farms. Viewing of the pigs will start at 10:00 AM, lunch will be served at 11:30 AM, and the sale will begin at 1:00 PM. Additionally, the pigs will be available for viewing 1 week prior to the sale by appointment. The sale format will be conducted using a Silent Auction/Bid Board format, similar to the format of the sale we had back in January.

We are excited about the set of pigs that we have to offer, as we feel it is one of the better sets of pigs that we have ever offered to our customers to compete at the NC and VA State Fairs. We look forward to working with you and hope to help provide you with high quality pigs that will be successful in the showring!!

We just wanted to remind those of you looking for January and February pigs suitable for July and August shows to contact us very soon if you haven’t already. We will be making deliveries throughout Virginia in April. Depending on your location, we may be able to save you from driving to Virginia Beach to pick up your pigs. However, we do welcome customers to the farm to pick out their own pigs.

We would like to thank all of you who participated in the 1st Annual East Coast Extravaganza. Overall, we think things went very well. Please let us know if you have any suggestions on how to improve.We plan on trying to make next years Extravaganza bigger and better.

Pigs shown at the East Coast Extravaganza that were purchased from us did very well. The Clark Family from Gretna, Va showed the Champion heavy weight pig and the Reserve Champion pig overall. It was a pig they purchased in our 1st annual pig sale in January. Additionally, the Reserve Champion middle weight pig was shown by Caitie Goss and sold by us. Pictures of these pigs will be posted on the website soon.

We would like to wish all of our customers who purchased pigs from us for spring shows luck in the show ring in the upcoming weeks. The spring show season kicks off this week in Wilson, NC, followed next week by the Coastal Plains Livestock Show. Please keep us posted on how your pigs perform in the show ring. Good luck!!!!

January and February born pigs are doing very well. We plan on taking photos of a sampling of them over the next few weeks. We will post these photos on this website for your viewing. Additionally, please contact us ASAP if you are interested in these January and February born pigs. They will be sold private treaty, off of our farm. They are suitable for July and August shows.

We just wanted to remind everyone one last time that the East Coast Extravaganza Jackpot pig, lamb, and goat show is coming up next Saturday, March 16th. Farrowing of January and February litters has gone extremely well thus far! We look forward to having one of the deepest sets of pigs to date available for sale for upcoming 2013 summer shows. Please contact us as soon as possible regarding the sale of these January and February born pigs.
